Melodie Lyman Smith
Melodie has spent most of her life in beautiful Utah, and her love for people and adventure has shaped every step of her career. Fresh out of University, she dove into hospitality as a travel director (TD) where she discovered her knack for creativity and on-the-fly problem solving that quickly grew her into roles as a staffing manager and operations specialist – ultimately landing her as an operations coordinator here at Summit Events. She is known for her person-first approach, her ability to connect with both staff and clients and her belief that there’s always something to smile or laugh about, even on the busiest days. Outside of work, Melodie is often traveling, adventuring or on the hunt for the best new treats with her husband and two little boys.
What I love about Utah: Growing up I thought it was normal to spend your days skiing, hiking, rock climbing, camping, and living mere minutes from the life-changing beauty of the mountains in every direction. Turns out it was just luck.
