Destination Management Company (DMC) adds to already thriving team
PARK CITY, Utah (July 10, 2023) – Summit Events, a leading corporate destination event management company, is pleased to announce Pamela Shields as its new sales manager. Shields, a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the company, further strengthening the existing sales department that includes Kristyn “Syd” Hancock, senior sales manager, and Reilly McCambridge, sales coordinator. Shields’ first day will be Monday, July 10, 2023.
Shields’ extensive background in sales and hospitality spans over 15 years, including a former stint as director of operations for Summit Events in 2018. Shields most recently served as director of events at Westminster College in Salt Lake City where she was responsible for expanding the department and implementing innovative processes and creating life-changing experiences throughout the liberal arts campus. Her previous roles include senior program manager at Encore Events, a full service meeting and event planning company, plus various meeting and event manager roles at world-class resorts such as St. Regis Deer Valley, Westin Copley Place, The Boston Park Plaza and Hilton properties.

With a career spanning over three decades as a business executive, Aanensen is a highly experienced industry veteran who has recently retired but continues to contribute her expertise at Summit Events.
